The Challenge
Objectives
The packaging system was built to stay clear across product family, retail, and digital touchpoints.
- Create a flexible bag and box system
- Differentiate origins and roasts clearly
- Balance bold shelf impact with readable details
- Support retail, subscriptions, and gift sets
- Avoid vintage coffee cliches
Structural Direction
Flat-bottom coffee bags, sample pouches, gift box, subscription mailer, reusable tin option.
Materials and Finishes
Matte barrier films, recyclable paper labels, embossed gift sleeves, spot color printing, one restrained metallic detail.
Label and Variant System
Origin color coding, roast-scale indicator, tasting-note icons, brew recommendation, roast date and batch zone. Custom KOVA wordmark; bold condensed display type for variant names; clean sans-serif for origin and brewing details.
